EcoCheck

EcoCheck enables your customer advisors to sensitise property owners to the issue of sustainability and to demonstrate the potential for CO₂ reductions. The application comprises four modules that build on each other:

Modernisation Plan
Subsidies

Users solely have to enter the property’s address and the application adds the necessary information from a variety of public sources. Recent refurbishments and other details such as the dimensions of the building can also be added. Based on the resulting condition of the property, rating information and renovation needs can be identified. A modernisation plan is then created that leads to the property’s reduction path. Information on applicable subsidies is equally provided. The main results of the modules are shown in the dashboard view. (Graphic elements supplement → Screenshots) EcoCheck fully fulfils the Swiss Bankers Association’s requirements for self-regulation. This enables you to provide your customers with comprehensive advice and, for example, to identify any renovation and associated financing requirements when purchasing a property.

Individual modernisation scenarios

EcoCheck has a modernisation planner that proposes individual scenarios for each building based on the current situation. These can be freely customised according to the customer's needs in order to create an individual reduction path.

Energy and CO₂ rating

Based on the climatic conditions and the specific property characteristics, the energy requirements for hot water production and heating of a building as well as the resulting CO₂ emissions and energy costs can be estimated. The key figures are derived with the help of statistical comparison methods and data from third-party sources, assuming average user behaviour. Structural features of the property may lead to deviations from the stated values.

Renovation needs

Based on the specific building characteristics and the most recent renovations carried out, it is possible to estimate which elements of the building will need to be replaced and when, and how much investment will be required. The useful life of the individual building elements is derived from historical data, while the amount is determined on the basis of the building’s net present value. The latter can be estimated by IAZI or, if available, entered manually.

Modernisation Plan

The modernisation plan can be used to carry out a detailed scenario analysis for future renovations. In addition to the typical life cycles and shares of the new building value of the building elements (see renovation needs), the modernisation plan allows individualised consideration of the investment amounts, available tax reductions and subsidies. Based on the information provided, the expected energy costs are calculated and an amortisation calculation is carried out for each building element. The resulting energy and CO₂ savings of energy-related measures are graphically illustrated in the form of a reduction path. The direct (Scope 1) and indirect (Scope 2) CO₂ emissions are calculated using a statistical model developed by IAZI for energy demand estimates and heating-specific emission coefficients in accordance with KBOB. The estimate includes heating and hot water preparation in accordance with SIA 380/1.

Subsidies

The subsidies module lists all available subsidies per subject area. This allows your customers to accurately estimate the amount of funding and apply for it effortlessly.
